EVAN MORGAN
writer / director
Evan Morgan is a writer/director of short and feature films, commercials, and music videos. But his true passion is for embroidery.
Both of his shorts, The Pedestrian Jar (2011) and A Pretty Funny Story (2012) premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival, before travelling across North America and Europe. The later was awarded the Canal Plus prize at the Clermont Ferrand International Short Film Festival. Additionally, he supplied the screenplay for the animated short Day 40, which was nominated for a Canadian Screen Award. He is also the co-writer/producer/editor of The Dirties (2013), a feature length drama that won the Grand Jury Prize at the Slamdance Film Festival, before being released internationally by Kevin Smith, Phase 4, and Pulse Films.
His most recent branded projects include the Chris Hadfield ‘Movember’ campaign, and Canadian Tire’s ‘How Canadians Celebrate Spring’. In 2014, he released a music video for July Talk’s ‘The Garden’. It was pretty cool.
He is currently working on a killer family crest.
